15th December 2025 – Vobster Santa Dive

This weekend saw another successful training milestone for Street Sub Aqua Club, with club member Richard completing his British Sub-Aqua Club Sports Diver training at Vobster Quay during the site’s annual Vobster Santas fundraising event.

The day combined diver training with a large charity event, with divers from across the region taking to the water in festive fancy dress to help raise money for good causes.

The Sports Diver grade builds on core diving skills and experience, developing rescue skills, dive management, navigation, and the ability to dive in a wider range of conditions and locations safely.

Training within the club takes place throughout the year in both inland and open-water environments, helping members progress from beginner level to more advanced diving qualifications, while also participating in club trips, boat diving, wreck diving, and social events.

A great day at Vobster and another example of the variety of diving and activities our members get involved in throughout the year.
