11th May 2025 – Dolphin Reef
Well, just because the weather looked changeable and the waves were forecast to be choppy at best, that does not stop diving.
Very pleased we decided to head out on Sunday with Street Sub Aqua Club in Lyme Bay, diving the wreck of the Baygitano before heading just off Charmouth in search of fossils.
Unfortunately, no fossils were found, but a very cheeky dolphin came over to say hello and stayed around for more than 15 minutes. It seemed particularly interested in the two divers on rebreathers before moving on to investigate the open circuit divers as well.
Four club dives were carried out, with a total dive time of 200 minutes. Water temperature was 21 degrees, with visibility on the Baggy around 4-5m and “Dolphin Reef” around 5-6m.
